In leiu of the older Polaroid Guestbooks, there's a new camera that's more budget friendly with film that is still in production. It's the Fujifilm Instax 210 Instant Film Camera it's about $75 on www.bhphotovideo.com and the film is only $15/20sheets. (Major plus: it's not pricey expired Polaroid film)
I found this idea on the Bridal Inquirer Blog, it's like those funny kindergarten sheets you would do about your favorite color, pet, family etc. that would ask you to draw it. Go ahead have a look...
No, that's not it! Though it is the most adorable picture ever, I don't think I was that good in kindergarten. Below is the real thing, it asks you questions about the couple and asks you to draw a picture of yourself. I think this would be a sweet idea teachers getting married. You can buy these here but I bet it wouldn't be hard to replicate.
Then there's a little more modern idea, a play on the family tree, that I found featured on Weddingbee by Miss Lamb.
How can I possibly choose only one? What I'm thinking of doing is making a tree for everyone to "print" at the rehearsal dinner and then doing the instant film for all the guests at the wedding. Are two guestbooks too much? What do you think?

Ahh! I know what you mean about awkwardly writing in guestbooks..I never know what to say! It's even worse when the videographer goes up to you and tells you to say something to the couple.."umm..congratulations?" I like your ideas much better, lol. I don't think 2 is too much, especially since it doesn't take too much effort on the guest's part to thumbprint the tree.
I'm glad it's not just me Penga! I never know what to write, and I generally consider myself a decent writer. :o/
