Needless to say I went a little bananas with this... we love music and I love lyrics... so I consulted a few wonderful sources for their ideas on good/not-over-played wedding music. Offbeat Bride had a great article on some unique first dance songs. And of course I had to consult Hi-Fi Wedding's Tunes to Play at your Wedding List. It's very comprehensive and ranges from good classics to great indie beats.
With all that research done I made our first draft of our wedding music:
Bobby, our DJ, thinks of everything- see those little blue buttons- you can leave him notes as to when to play the music so there's absolutely NO confusion! You have lots time to work on this, and can save it and come back to it- but it's recommended to submit the list by 1 month so that he can acquire all the custom songs. You can even print out your list complete with your notes- I must say I'm impressed.
But what's a music post without music? I give you our last song...
Did you agonize over your wedding music or are you a "go with the flow" couple? What's your favorite genre?

ooh i spy some death cab and franz! LOVE! your dj sounds amazing, btw - can I steal him? our music situation is a big point of frustration with me.. :P
I'm debating making "I'll Follow You into the Dark" our exit song, but "Closing Time" is so fun and upbeat, it's hard to mess with a classic. My Venue disclosed to me that he is the ONLY DJ approved for our reception patio because he is so awesome.
I'd share him with you if I could!!
