Especially in the case of a groom with auburn or red hair, who tend to have more ruddy complexions, just like Mr. AZ. Now I'm not saying that Alan looks bad in this black suit above, but it really does bring out the redness of his skin tone. In that case I vote for deep dark brown. This earthy tone takes away a lot of ruddiness from the face and is more universally flattering, in my humble opinion.

This is when we fell in love with brown, when we realized it was much more softening like ivory. Are you taking into account your groom's skin tone when picking out the suits or tuxes your guys will be wearing?

ooh, a brown suit! that's a good idea, and he looks good!
That never even occurred to me. You think of everything!
@Kristin Honestly it never occurred to me, until I saw Mr. AZ in both the black suit and the brown suit. It was an immediately more flattering color. Now I'm singing the praises of brown! :o)
He picked everything for the guys' tuxes. I sat there for 20m & watched. It was a nice switch. I did kinda fall in love with the chocolate patent leather men's shoes. I think a full brown vest would look awesome too - like an old fashioned men's suit. So cool!!
I really initially thought my guy was going for a brown tux too! Of course he changed his mind when he saw it in person (he thought it was too dull) and I was a little bummed)he can have a ruddy complexion too (the irish boy in him) and I thought the brown would be good for him. He did end up picking a great option, but it was a bit sad he didn't go that route.
