I especially enjoy the back of the jar of cocoa. It's adorable and amusing.
It also inspired me to try my hand at a "homemade" wedding favor.... my original idea was a secret-family-recipe mini Flan... however custards don't hold up well in heat... did you know I was getting married in Arizona in August? Well apparently I didn't! Anyway, I nixed the idea since my last summer's Flan held up about as well as the eggs frying on the sidewalk.
I mean really- look at that delicate custard, there's no way we could pre-make 60 of those and have them hold up during the summer. So enter the Norwegian roots of my fiancé... I lovingly half joke that I'm marrying him for the Kringla. What you don't know what Kringla is? Thank Gd for Google... here's what Kringla is. But what it really is this cake-like cookie in the shape an infinity symbol... don't believe me, take a look!

And that is our homemade delicious Kringla. Kringla holds up well over time and is made in HUGE batches....

And it freezes well, we make it every Christmas and horde it for a good month before everyone's eaten it all up!

What do you mean there's a rum, whiskey, and vodka bottle in my freezer?... well let's do a close up.

Are you incorporating your cultural roots into your favors? Or are you going for a less labor intensive route?

Your freezer is soooo empty! I can't believe it... lol
I love your MOH's favors! How cute! I go back & forth on favors all the time. I have considered going the cookie route, but I can't see myself baking 250+ cookies the night before my wedding lol. I think you might be on to something with your Kringla's though :)
Haha, that's what happens to our freezer when we're out of town for the Holidays. We also like to cook everything from scratch (I know it's weird and it takes more time).
I'm going back and forth on this or Iron ornaments in the shape of Arizona things (aka Coyotes, Cacti, Kokopelli etc) We'd get a great deal on that they quoted us $4 an ornament and we're only ordering 60. But we're still undecided! Besides we normally make Kringla in like 300-400 cookie batches lol :o)
I love flan, sad that it won't work out..but your other ideas still look delish! Spicy hot cocoa is so yummyy..mmm
I'm posting the top-secret-escaped-from-cuba-family-flan-recipe soon too, so stay tuned!!
