As I discussed previously, we won't be hiring a professional photographer. My lovely art teacher/artist/amazing seamstress/maker of the veil FSIL offer to also don the hat of Photographer. She does TEACH photography, but she's never shot a wedding, so without further ado here are some photos of our venue's previous weddings we're using as inspiration...
Thanks! It was actually featured on the In Style wedding website shortly after we booked our wedding. http://styleschool.instyleweddings.com/2009/08/this-weeks-stylish-wedding-joy-josh.html Exciting stuff!
I just wanted say that the second image down is not our image ...
I'm curious why you hate professional photographers ... we are artists that work very hard at our craft ... a great photographer can beautifully capture all the moments and emotions of a day. Our clients are always thrilled with the visual story we capture for them.
I see you've used a lot of our professional photographs on your blog and we're glad you are using them for your inspiration. We hope you get the photography you are hoping for on your wedding day.
Also I wanted to note that the feature you are referring to on InStlye Weddings is a feature on Joy and Josh's wedding at the Sedona Heritage Museum and reception at Tlaquepaque. You can see their full wedding day story my husband and I captured at the link below:

Thanks for the correction. On the Tlaquepaque website it was credited to you, I will pull it and do some research as to whom I should credit.
It's not that I "hate" wedding photographers in so much that I'm completely non-photogenic, so photography stresses me out in general. Also we simply don't have room for it in our budget. I absolutely love the photos you have taken- as you can probably tell from my inspiration shots.
oh i didn't know it ame from a miss-credit at tlaquepaque... i'll let them know. thanks for the heads u on that. :)
so glad to hear you don't hate professional photographers. :) i'm sure you photograph well! you just need a good photographer that will make you at ease and bring out your personality. it shouldn't be like going to the dentist... it should be fun! ;)
you know, you are getting married in an off season time for sedona.... i'm sure you could find a photographer that would work out a great rate for you. it's so worth it to have someone that knows how to doucment a wedding day.
i'd be happy to connect you with some photographers if you need help. it's worth at least checking into. we can't tell you how many times we're told by guests that they wished they would have hired a photographer who's work they really loved and that the photography was the one thing they would redo if they were to do it over again.
anyway just my two cents... :) we love photoraphy so we're a little bias. feel free to call us, we're happy to help and at least direct you if we can't personally help ourselves.
